Funded social networking startup seeks an experienced Frontend Engineer (Ruby/CSS/Javascript/AJAX) to help us design, build and improve the user experience for our consumer facing social media site.

You:

* Want to have a real impact on a consumer-facing, large-scale website from the earliest stages
* Are Independent and driven. Ability to own and drive forward sizable projects without close supervision
* Care deeply about user experience and interaction design
* Have extensive experience in Ruby, Javascript, CSS, HTML/DOM, AJAX and HTTP
* Have experience with test-driven development, agile methodologies
* Can provide examples of high-quality interfaces that you've built
* Live in the San Francisco Bay Area

Other technologies that would be helpful for you to know:

Git, Linux, HTML5, Canvas or Flash

Extra Credit for:

* Specific interest in local search or social networks
* Experience building mobile web sites
* Active participation in the UX/interaction design community (or equivalent blog)
* Visual design experience
